Welcome to the soft launch of gastro bits!

Hello everyone! Welcome to what I am considering the soft launch of my food blog, gastro bits. I am still working through some technical details such as creating graphics and working on some formatting, so please bear with me while I get these issues resolved. I hope to have a real launch by the end of February.

My goal for gastro bits is to deliver informative, yet entertaining views on food-related establishments. I will try to tie things into metaphors that may or may not work, but if something is horribly bad please let me know that it fell flat. My reviews will tend to be analytical on the dishes, so it is possible that they will be long. To counter this, I will provide a quick list at the start of each review that hopefully summarizes the plusses and the deltas (things that could be changed). Additionally if there is need for some disclosure about the experience, I will provide that at the start with the quick summary.

If a restaurant is given an award, I will include the award at the end of the review. Additionally, I will not tag the award immediately (there may be a one to two week delay in this process as I feel fit). This is done for now because I feel that people don't want to know that Snape kills Dumbledore at the very beginning; they want to experience the journey that leads up to the event.

Additionally I would consider myself an amateur photographer, so please bear with me as I learn more about photography and more about post-processing of the images I take; I'm sure I will get better with time. Furthermore, I may not have the proper camera with me at all times when taking photos. I will use better cameras when they are available, but I suspect many of the photos will be taken with my phone. If you feel this affects the quality of the blog and that these photos should not be included, please let me know and I will figure out how to improve.

Finally, as the blog begins you may see many restaurants receiving awards. This is not because my standards are low, but rather because I have been to these restaurants, I will tend to visit them more frequently since I know they are good.
